ABC Policies

Alcoholic Beverages
At Harmony Hall, we understand that certain events may warrant the consumption of alcohol.
Harmony Hall permits alcohol at events, provided you have the necessary Virginia ABC permit. According to the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, any person or group charging admission or selling alcohol at an event—such as a party, reunion, or reception—must obtain a license.
For one-day events, Virginia ABC offers a “Banquet and Specialty Banquet License,” which can be applied for online. This license must be completed and approved before the event, and a copy of the approved license must be submitted to Harmony Hall management in advance.
We want your event to be enjoyable and safe, so please remind your guests to drink responsibly. They are ultimately your responsibility.

Consumption Policies
Harmony Hall’s alcohol policies are as follows:
- A valid Virginia ABC license is required if admission is being charged for the event.
- A copy of this license must be submitted to Harmony Hall management before the event.
- Anyone serving alcohol must be at least 21 years old.
- Alcohol consumption is only allowed inside Harmony Hall. Drinking in parking lots, outside doors, or in vehicles is strictly prohibited.
- Guests who appear intoxicated will not be served additional alcohol.
The event organizer is responsible for all guests. Any violation of these policies will result in the immediate termination of the rental agreement without notice, and all fees—including security deposits and cleaning fees—will be forfeited.
